eSIM arrival-day checklist
Use this quick checklist after landing to get maps, rides, messaging, and mobile data working fast.
Arrival day is usually rushed, and a small wrong setting can make maps or ride apps fail when you need them most.
After landing, select the Skyalo eSIM for data, enable data roaming on that eSIM if required, wait for local network registration, and test maps before leaving the airport.
- Turn off Airplane Mode after the plane reaches the gate.
- Open SIM settings and select the Skyalo eSIM for mobile data.
- Enable data roaming for the Skyalo eSIM if required by the plan.
- Wait a few minutes for the phone to register on a local network.
- You installed the eSIM before departure and need to activate it after landing.
- You need maps, rides, or messaging before buying local transport tickets.
- Airport Wi-Fi is weak or requires SMS verification.
- Changing APN or network settings before waiting for local registration.
- Leaving mobile data on the home SIM and assuming the eSIM is active.
