What to do if your eSIM is not activating
Use this activation checklist when the eSIM is installed but stays pending, activating, or disconnected.
The eSIM profile appears on your phone, but it does not activate or connect to a network.
Confirm you are in the covered destination, enable the eSIM line, turn on data roaming for that eSIM, restart the phone, and give the device a few minutes to register on a supported network.
- Check whether the plan is meant to activate only in the destination country or region.
- Open SIM settings and confirm the Skyalo eSIM line is turned on.
- Set mobile data to the Skyalo eSIM and disable cellular data switching if your phone keeps returning to the primary SIM.
- Enable Data Roaming for the Skyalo eSIM if the plan uses roaming access.
- You are inside the plan coverage area.
- The plan validity has not expired.
- The device has signal from at least one local network.
- Some eSIMs show an activation warning before arrival because they cannot register until the phone sees a supported local network.
- If activation fails after all checks, send support the order number, device model, destination, and a screenshot of SIM settings.
